There are many organisations that you can contact for help and support, and the list below highlights some of those available in Northern Ireland.

The PSNI can help anyone suffering domestic violence and abuse, and work with a number of partner organisations to provide help, support and guidance to those in need.

Telephone: 999 - in an emergency where you need immediate assistance or feel threatened
If you are scared to speak, a ‘silent solution’ exists to press 55 when prompted. This allows police to know it is a genuine emergency. This service is not available when using a landline.

Nexus NI offer services and support across Northern Ireland to people who have been affected by sexual violence in any form. Nexus NI operate the 24 Hour Domestic and Sexual Abuse Helpline.

Women’s Aid have 9 local groups across NI offering a range of specialist services to women, children and young people who have experienced domestic violence and abuse.

MAP exists to provide support information and counselling services for men experiencing domestic violence and abuse.
