Stage 8: Of the 3182 votes transferred to McHugh from Treanor, 2925 (91.92%) went to Gildernew (SF); 112 (3.52%) to Mullen (SDLP); 3 (0.09%) to Morrow (DUP); 2 (0.06%) to Dixon (UKUP); 1 to Carson and none to Foster, thus 1 (0.03%) to the UUP with 139 (4.37%) non-transferable.

Stage 10: of the 1607 votes transferred to Gildernew from Mullen, 516 probably transferred further (though mathematically it could have been 1032). In that case, 441 (27.44%) went to Carson (UUP); 43 (2.68%) to Dixon (UKUP); and 32 (1.99%) to Morrow (DUP) with 1091 (67.89%) non-transferable.

The UKUP started in sixth place, but were overtaken by the DUP's Maurice Morrow when his running-mate was eliminated. No big surprise here as Sinn Féin consolidated their lead over the SDLP for the Nationalist vote.
