Down District Council Elections 1993-2011

The SDLP were once again returned with the largest number of seats on Down District Council. They did however lose one seat in Newcastle to Alliance, who gained representation on the Council for the first time since 1989. The UUP, who saw their vote drop by four percent, also lost a seat in Rowallane to an Independent.
