Map by Conal Kelly
This constituency combined parts of the old South Antrim and North Down with bits and pieces from elsewhere.
In the 1995 revision, the old Lagan Valley constituency lost some areas to West Belfast and Strangford, but most of it formed the core of the new Lagan Valley constituency. The Member of Parliament throughout this period was Jim Molyneaux (UUP).
