2025 The Children's Hope Scale. The Children's Hope Scale is used to assess hope in individuals age 8 to 16 years. Children are asked 6 questions about carrying out goals (three on the agency subscale), having a means of carrying out their goals (three on the pathways subscale) and an overall hope score ranging from 6 to 36 with higher scores indicating more hopefulness..
