Module: School
Variable: AGESTART

In Northern Ireland children start Primary 1 in September if they have their 4th birthday before 1st July. This means that most children are 4 years old when they start school. But some children who have their birthdays in July and August can be 5 years old. The Government in Northern Ireland is thinking about changing the rules so that parents can wait until their child is 5 years of age before letting them start school.
What age do you think children should start primary school in Northern Ireland?
