'Other' responses included:

  • A group with other peers who have problems.
  • Complete! Confidentiality and being able to go to them at the weekend when no-one will notice you're receiving help unlike a school counselor.
  • Depends on the person's circumstances.
  • Doctor who could advise about a physical illness. everyone's different but those would be the one's
  • I'd much prefer gathering of people to do activities together and become friends so they can talk to each other
  • I do not have any emotional/mental health problems!
  • I got dragged to professional help by parents/school. Was given [name of and amount antidrpressant] .... I think
  • It depends on the individual and the problems.
  • It depends on the person and on the problem - I personally would prefer concentrated help from one professional were I in that situation, but others may differ in their needs.
  • Nothing to make the young person feel 'crazy'.
  • Other young people who have had the same problems.
  • Social worker
  • Someone who will listen and not judge but try to help
  • Speed - it would need to happen and not just after 6 weeks etc.
  • Support from a professional I trust and find easy to talk to.
  • Youth group counseling
