ARK has developed a range of outreach services that aim to build research capacity across all sectors and facilitate debate.

  • The ARK Ageing Programme supports engagement between the age and academic sectors.
  • ARK works in partnership with specialist providers to provide a wide range of introductory and more advanced research and analysis training courses.
  • ARK has developed a series of teaching resources for a range of students and settings, including young people aged 11 years and above at school and in youth settings, as well as undergraduate and postgraduate university students.
  • ARK has provided consultancy support to organisations and individuals who wish to carry out analyses of survey datasets, but do not have the resources, expertise or personnel to undertake such analyses themselves.
  • Through its pro-bono work ARK facilitates capacity building in the voluntary and community sectors.
  • ARK in Schools aims to provide suitable Northern Ireland-specific educational materials for schools, organisations working with young people and for young people themselves.
  • ARK maintains a mailing list, which keeps users up to date with forthcoming events and publications.
  • The Links to data sources section suggests useful websites that hold data on Northern Ireland on Northern Ireland.
