National Centre for Research Methods (NCRM)

Introduction

The National Centre for Research Methods (NCRM) undertakes methodological research and training in the social sciences, and is funded by the Economic and Social Research Council. NCRM is a partnership between the University of Southampton, University of Manchester and the University of Edinburgh, which undertake methodological research and training in the social sciences. These courses are suitable for postgraduate students and researchers.

ARK will be helping the NCRM put on a number of courses in Northern Ireland during the coming academic year.  These will include:

  • 'Making & Measuring Impact', 14 September 2016.  The course will take place in Training Room 2 in the Graduate School , Queen's University, Belfast.  http://www.ncrm.ac.uk/training/show.php?article=6453;
  • 'Latent Class Analysis',  15/16 September 2016.  The course will take place in the Training Room at the McClay Library, Queen's University, Belfast.  There will be 6 free places for N.I.-located postgrads, allocated on a 'first come, first served' basis.  http://www.ncrm.ac.uk/training/show.php?article=6442;
  • 'CADQAS Software Planning Seminar', 25 January 2017.  The course is provisionally booked for Training Room 2 in the Graduate School , Queen's University, Belfast. Registration will open in the autumn, so please check the NCRM website then.
