includes a section gathering the best evidence available about
complementary
and alternative therapies for sufferers and professionals.
The aim
of the Research
Council for Complementary Medicine is develop and extend
the evidence base for complementary medicine in order to provide
practitioners and their patients with information about the
effectiveness of individual therapies and the treatment of specific
conditions.
The Institute
for Complementary Medicine (ICM) is a UK registered charity
that aims to provide the public with information in all aspects
of the safe and best practise of Complementary Medicine through
its practitioners, courses and research.
The National
Library for Health includes a specialist library on complementary
and alternative medicine. While the library is intended
primarily for health professionals, CAM practitioners and researchers,
the majority of the information is also accessible by patients
and carers.
