Strabane District Council Elections 1993-2011

Sinn Fein picked up an additional seat in Glenelly from the SDLP but this was off-set by a loss in Mourne to an Independent (formerly of the SDLP). Sinn Fein continue to be the largest party by far with eight seats but missed gaining overall control of the council. The demise of SDLP continues in Strabane with the party winning just a single seat and seeing their share of the popular vote drop by almost six points. The IRSP narrowly missed winning a seat in Mourne.
