This was accompanied by a seminar &#8211; see the video recording <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/izxKbxmjxqc\">here<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ark.ac.uk\/ARK\/sites\/default\/files\/2018-08\/Dementia.pdf\">Attitudes to, and knowledge of, dementia in Northern Ireland<\/a> (ARK Occasional Paper) by Lizanne Dowds, Patricia McParland, Paula Devine and Ann Marie Gray, is based on data from the Dementia modules within the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ark.ac.uk\/nilt\/2010\">2010 Northern Ireland Life and Times Survey<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>A <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ark.ac.uk\/ARK\/resources\/teaching\/datasets\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">teaching dataset<\/a> has been created based on the 2014 Northern Ireland Life and Times Survey module on dementia. This is designed to be used on undergraduate and postgraduate courses teaching quantitative statistical analysis in the social sciences.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Dementia in the minds of characters and readers<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ark.ac.uk\/ARK\/projects\/Dementia\">research project<\/a> started in May 2020, and explores the potential of fiction featuring characters with dementia to improve awareness of and empathy towards people living with the condition.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Arts-based programmes for people with dementia<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a title=\"av\" href=\"http:\/\/www.ark.ac.uk\/ap\/resources\/dementia\/av\/\">The Arts for Dementia in North America; Learning from Practice<\/a> is Amy Veale&#8217;s report of her 2015 Winston Churchill fellowship.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ark.ac.uk\/ARK\/sites\/default\/files\/2018-08\/demeval.pdf\">Evaluating arts-based programmes for people with dementia, and their impact on wellbeing<\/a> is a discussion paper by Paula Devine and Katrina Lloyd.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n<div id=\"themify_builder_content-4303\" data-postid=\"4303\" class=\"themify_builder_content themify_builder_content-4303 themify_builder\">\n    <\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dementia: attitudes, knowledge and experience This page outlines ARK projects and resources relating to dementia.
