Research Approach

  • The 1996 Northern Ireland Social Attitudes Survey interviewed 786 adults (aged 18 and over) who lived in private households.
  • The sample was drawn using the Valuation and Lands Agency list.
  • Fieldwork was undertaken using Computer Assisted Interviewing and a self-completion questionnaire.
