Educational resource: Sexual risks and capacities
ARK and Brook NI have developed a peer-led educational resource to address sexual risks among young people. The objective was to facilitate sexual capacity and confidence building among young people in Northern Ireland who are at the start of their sexual careers. The project was based on data from the Young Life and Times Survey on sexual grooming, and on sexual experiences. An online resource has been developed, which highlights information, definitions, research facts and scenarios on sexual grooming, friendship, love, and exploitation. The project was co-funded by the ESRC's Knowledge Exchange programme.

ARK Ageing Programme
The ARK Ageing Programme is working with NICVA and the North Antrim Community Network to run a 'Research on the Road' workshop in Cushendall on 16 September. This event offers advice and expertise on how to conduct reliable research. It will provide a 'rough guide' to research methods and will also highlight the importance of research reports and other methods of dissemination. This event is specifically tailored for those organisations in the voluntary and community sector that work with, or provide support to, older people.
